The season of Lent invites us into a slower, more thoughtful rhythm. It’s a time to reflect, repent, and prepare our hearts for Easter. But in a world that’s always rushing toward the next thing, it can be tempting to treat Lent like something to “get through” rather than something to live into. That’s why we’re excited about Wilderness Wednesdays.
Each Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m., we’ll gather to pause, pray, and reflect together. Dinner will be served, so come straight from work or school and share a meal with your church family before we spend time in Scripture, conversation, simple practices, and meaningful activities. Together, we’ll explore what it means to trust God when we don’t have all the answers. We won’t rush toward Easter joy without acknowledging Good Friday pain. We won’t pretend everything is fine when it isn’t. Instead, we’ll make space for honesty, hope, and the gentle work God does in us when we slow down and pay attention.
As we journey through Lent, our prayer is that Wilderness Wednesdays will become a sacred pause in the middle of busy weeks – a place to breathe, reflect, and remember that God is, even in the wilderness.
