Message from our Pastor

I am glad and blessed to be appointed as the Pastor of Cedarburg Community United Methodist Church and have served in this role since June 1, 2022. This is a great church with a strong history of serving our community.

Can you be a help? Come and enrich our capacity to answer God’s call to serve one another. Come by and visit us, ask questions, and find a place to participate in what God is doing here and in our community. CCUMC offers opportunities for all ages. (see our ministries page)

I am blessed and happy when I am greeted by the smile of a child, the smile of the homebound who I regularly visit and offer in-home Holy Communion (if you would like me to visit your loved one, contact the church office,, and all in between as I hang out with them.

Before CCUMC, I served at Wesley United Methodist Church in Marshfield, Wisconsin. There, we experienced a devastating fire that caused irrevocable damage resulting in the need to rebuild a new Sanctuary, which we were able to accomplish in twenty-two months. From January 2008 through 2016, I served as a Global Ministries/National Plan for Hispanic Latin as a Pastor of Davis Memorial United Methodist Church in New Jersey before transferring to the Wisconsin United Methodist Church Annual Conference in 2017.

Before coming to the States, I was a Pastor in Brazil where I was born and raised. There I graduated in with a degree in Languages. Before doing further studies, I worked as a state and private schoolteacher and as an interpreter. I graduated in Cross Cultural Studies from Redcliffe College in London where I lived for five years. I attended the Methodist University of Sao Paulo where I graduated with a degree in Divinity. I was ordained as a pastor and later an Elder at the Sao Paulo Conference of the Methodist Church in Brazil before answering God’s call to come to the United States.

In my free time I enjoy reading, cooking new recipes, going to new restaurants, meeting friends and colleagues, and I love travelling. I am not a sports fan but have been watching Packer games or commentaries after the games.

If you need a pastor’s ear, contact me. I am here to serve and to bless you! Come! Cedarburg Community United Methodist Church is a place for all because to God, everyone matters!

Children & Student Ministries

The future of our church lies in the hands of our kids and students. Providing them with space to learn how much they are loved by God, how He desires to walk with them , and how He has created them to be their true unique selves, develops a life-long relationship with God. This relationship grows and is shared throughout their family life, their community, and in the way they choose to be in this world. This journey starts at a young age so it can be fostered and valued as they grow older.

My goal is to utilize resources, skills, and ideas to engage kids whether in Sunday School, Kids' Church, Youth Group, or other events. My hope is that kids will want to be at church, they will want participate in church activities,  they will recognize that this is their church, and that they belong here.

Jesus said, "I will speak using stories. I will tell things that have been secret since long ago. We have heard them and know them. Our fathers told them to us. We will not keep them from our children. We will tell those who come later about the praises of the Lord. We will tell about His power and the miracles He has done." Psalm 78:1-4
