I am glad and blessed to be appointed as the Pastor of Cedarburg Community United Methodist Church and have served in this role since June 1, 2022. This is a great church with a strong history of serving our community.
Can you be a help? Come and enrich our capacity to answer God’s call to serve one another. Come by and visit us, ask questions, and find a place to participate in what God is doing here and in our community. CCUMC offers opportunities for all ages. (see our ministries page)
I am blessed and happy when I am greeted by the smile of a child, the smile of the homebound who I regularly visit and offer in-home Holy Communion (if you would like me to visit your loved one, contact the church office, office@cedarburgcumc.org), and all in between as I hang out with them.
Before CUMC, I served at Wesley United Methodist Church in Marshfield, Wisconsin. There, we experienced a devastating fire that caused irrevocable damage resulting in the need to rebuild a new Sanctuary, which we were able to accomplish in twenty-two months. From January 2008 through 2016, I served as a Global Ministries/National Plan for Hispanic Latin as a Pastor of Davis Memorial United Methodist Church in New Jersey before transferring to the Wisconsin United Methodist Church Annual Conference in 2017.
Before coming to the States, I was a Pastor in Brazil where I was born and raised. There I graduated with a degree in Languages. Before doing further studies, I worked as a state and private schoolteacher and as an interpreter. I graduated in Cross Cultural Studies from Redcliffe College in London where I lived for five years. I attended the Methodist University of Sao Paulo where I graduated with a degree in Divinity. I was ordained as a pastor and later an Elder at the Sao Paulo Conference of the Methodist Church in Brazil before answering God’s call to come to the United States.
In my free time I enjoy reading, cooking new recipes, going to new restaurants, meeting friends and colleagues, and I love travelling. I am not a sports fan but have been watching Packer games or commentaries after
the games.
If you need a pastor’s ear, contact me. I am here to serve and to bless you! Come! Cedarburg Community United Methodist Church is a place for all because to God, everyone matters!
